Adding Black

Last night I started to compile a birthday wish list. I know it's well over two months away, but 21 is a big year.

I need some black accents in my life. I tend to go toward the tans and obnoxiously colorful.

Good gawd those shoes are pretty. Elegant. Classy. Expensive. I hate it when that's a factor. The python ones are pretty amazing too.

I almost purchased that handbag when I saw it three weeks ago. I debated way too long about which color to get and now it's SOLD OUT, in every color. Bring it back Botkier!

A simple, dramatic cocktail ring.

The black watch is the new rose gold. I don't know, I just made that up. But that's what I'm sticking with.

So which one will you be getting me?

Happy Friday!

Three days ago, TH emailed me his Christmas list.

Hold your horses reindeers, TH. I'm still trying to get my Halloween costume in order.

I'm not good at deciding on what I reaaaaaalllly want for Christmas and usually change my mind 232 times.

It's like when you're a kid and you go to the store and your mom says, Okay, you can pick ONE toy. And you're like, but I want 12 toys.

It's tougher as a grown-up because our 'toys' become more expensive and you really do have to narrow your list down to like one.

This handbag had me at, Hey, how you doin'?

I'm doin' fine but I'll be doing great when I have you. You're at the top of my list.

I'll make it easy for you. You don't even have to wrap it. And you don't even have to wait until Christmas to gift it.

Merry Halloween weekend ya'lls.

Handbag Love

I love handbags. Luxurious leathery handbags. Thousand dollar pricetags have me looking more than credit card swiping.

Oh money, if only you really did grow on trees.

The other day my friend Kim mentioned she was looking for a new handbag, but unlike me, handbags don't make her hip hop hooray.

Above all features, she wants affordable. Don't we all?

I thought it'd be a fun little excersice to look for handbags all under $100. High stile, low price.

Knock yourself out.

Happy Wednesday!

No, I'm not making up words again.

A few years ago I purchased a Malababa handbag. Malawho? Exactly.

Hadn't ever heard of the brand, but I liked the bag. And it was on sale.

Then I saw two of my favorite fashion bloggers sport a Malawhat handbag too, and it felt like being invited to sit at the popular table. Just Kidding, I don't know what that feels like.

Friday You're So Feeling Like Spring

I don't want to jinx it, but Los Angeles has been experiencing some pretty amazing weather, reminiscent of Spring. Ideal for this southern-inspired dress by Maren.

Perfectly girly and too cute not to pair with some Spring-to-Summer basics.

1. floppy hat 2. coral leather handbag 3. gold flat oxford 4. vintage bicycle 5. sunglasses 6. YSL rose/orange lipstick

Happy Weekend!

What I'm Baggin'

Ever wonder what kinda junk I stash in my purse? No? Hello? Anybody home?

Well just in case you do, Tamara is featuring the stuff I'm not embarrassed to show (step away old banana) over on her blog. Check it!

Sorry for the weaksauce post.

Happy Friday!

Friday You're So Inspired by Color

I'm quickly finding out that one of the elements that inspires me most is color. I look for unique color schemes everywhere I go and often find them in their natural form when walking, driving or traveling. I find some random color coincidentally mixed in with some other colors and say to myself, "I bet I could design a room based off these hues."

If I would've been the designer behind this kitchen, perhaps my inspiration derived from a present packaged in deep, blue wrapping paper, white bow and orange tag.

Once my room is complete, I stand back and create an outfit.

Be on the lookout for appealing color schemes, apply them to your home, floral arrangements, or clothing and everyone will think you're a color genius.

Happy Weekend,
